Collect Sample
Use one of our non-invasive collection kits designed to make collection easy. For genetic testing, you collect horse hair. For microbiome testing, you will collect a fecal sample.
Sample Processing
Our lab will process your horse's sample and we will create customized reports and analysis.
Receive REsults
Equus Genetics will provide you a customized report and a personal consultation to review your horse's results with you. We will explain the results in detail, answer any questions you have, and discuss how to use the results in your horse's management to get the most potential out of your horse.
Your horse’s test results stay confidential. We will not share your horse’s results with anyone without your direction. It may be to your benefit to share your horse’s results with trusted sources like a trainer or veterinarian.
If you’re planning to sell your horse, it may also benefit you to share these results with a potential buyer for full disclosure.
